Putting South Korea On The Watchlist

If Kim Jong Un has passed, nothing has been confirmed to my knowledge, I’ll be putting South Korea on my watch list. Unification of North/South could have more upside than East/West Germany.

Bullish On South Korea

South Korea's economy has been slowing as well at the moment. South Korea's having a problem, everybody is because of trade wars, there are many, many reasons that the world is starting to slow down and we're going to have a very very serious problem in the next year or two. But once the 38th parallel opens this is gonna be the most exciting part of the world for the next 10 or 20 years. You have everything going for you once the 38th parallel opens. In the meantime things are not gonna be so good.

Opportunities In North Korea

Once it opens everything. They don't have anything, they don't have ties, they don't have chairs, they don't have electricity so anything you can do you can go there and make a fortune. Tourism is going to be a fabulous opportunity for everybody. The Korean Peninsula has not been on the world tourism map ever and it will be again and everybody will want to come and they will see the sights, the beaches, the temples, the food.

South Korea: Tourism Is Going To Be Great

There's no stock market in North Korea, no market in the traditional sense but I'm very excited about the future of the Korean Peninsula. They don't have anything. Communism destroys everything. They don't have electricity, they don't have suits, they don't have chairs...

Tourism is going to be great. Korea has not been on the tourist map. If people are sitting around in Europe thinking about where am I gonna go in Asia, I think of Japan, China, Bali, they don't think of Korea for historic reasons. But now people are going to start thinking about going to Korea.

The Korean Peninsula Is Going To Be A Very Exciting Place

Would you rather live in North Korea or Switzerland? I can tell you would prefer to live in Switzerland then North Korea. They don't want to live in North Korea too. They want to live like they live in South Korea. This is not 1989 this is 2019 they know and they don't want to live that way anymore.

Chairman Kim grew up in Switzerland so he doesn't want to live in North Korea. If you were Chairman Kim would you rather live in North Korea or Switzerland? He wants to live in Switzerland so he's changing it. I have read about and have seen the changes that are taking place. So, the peninsula is going to be a very, very exciting place.

Korea Will Be The Most Exciting Country In The World

Korea is probably going to be the most exciting country in the world once North Korea opens which will and very soon. I mean it's right on the Chinese border, 80 million people, natural resources, cheap disciplined labor... It has lots of things going for it.

Investing: Unified Korea

Japan's against it because Japan knows they cannot compete with a unified Korea, America is against it because they they don't want to have to take their troops out of there. But for the world it's going to be very very exciting when it happens. (iShares MSCI South Korea Index Fund ETF (EWY))

Unified Korea Will Be An Exciting Country

I'm looking for ways to invest in the eventual unification of Korea. One of two things is going to happen.

There's going to be a war and that's the end of North Korea, the whole Korean country will be unified and will be a great investment or it's not going to be a war and there's going to be a peaceful unification eventually.

Either way a unified Korea is going to be the most exciting country in the world for a decade or two.

It's right on the Chinese border, 80 million people with cheap, disciplined, educated labor in the north plus lots of natural resources, fabulous infrastructure, capital, management ability in the south. It's going to be a very exciting country!

The Reason Why There Won`t Be A War In Korea

The Chinese have told Donald Trump that if he starts a war they'll have to defend North Korea but they told North Korea that if you start a war we will not defend you. So there's nobody who's gonna go to war. (iShares MSCI South Korea Index Fund ETF (EWY))

Trump Will Not Start A War With North Korea

I cannot imagine Mr. Trump is going to start a war with North Korea but who knows. He bombed Syria for no reason, he bombed Afghanistan for no reason so who knows what he might do if he gets angry one morning and if he does it, it's going to be very very bad for all of us. I'm Very Worried About the Global Economy

I am very worried about the global economy in the next few months. First of all it has been 8 years since we had an economic recession in America. Historically we had them every four to seven years. There are many problems in the world economy. Donald Trump has promised a tare war with Mexico, China, Korea, Japan... If he does that, my God, we are going to have serious problems! Investing: What You Should Do

You should invest in what you know a lot about. Do not listen to me or what you read in the newspaper or what you see on TV. Stay with what you know and you will probably come through in better shape than everybody else who is putting money here, putting money there and taking hot tips.

I for instance put some of my money into places that are depressed, Japan, Russia, agriculture, areas that are somewhat depressed.

Investing: How To Capitalize

The way you do succeed at anything is you look at a desperate situation, especially when it is cheap, or it is repressive and it is opening up. It is hard to do, it is like a stock that is cheap, nobody wants it but it is the best way to capitalize.

If you look at Asia for instance, 50 years ago, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, all were very, very repressive and now they are all vibrant, successful democracies.

Korea Will Be The Most Exciting Country In The World

Once reunification takes place, Korea will be the most exciting country in the world for a decade or two. Seventy five million people, right on the Chinese border, lots of cheap, disciplined, educated labor in the North, lots of natural resources in the North, huge amounts of capital and expertise in the South. I mean, this country will be a very exciting country, it will run circles around the Japanese which is why the Japanese are against all of this. There are plenty of people against it, but it is going to happen, just like it happened in Germany.
