Agriculture
is still a disaster. Agriculture's probably got great
opportunities. Gold and Silver, some parts of the world that have been smashed like transportation, airlines, tourism anything to do with
travel has been killed. I'm also looking into a shipping company in Russia.

Investing: Opportunities In Agriculture
Agriculture
has been a disaster for 35 years or so.
The average age of farmers in America is 58.
More people in America study public relations and study agriculture.
The highest rate of suicide in the UK is agriculture.
In Japan, the average age of farmers is 68.
Nobody becomes a farmer, you go to Japan now, there're huge stretches of land, they're just
empty.
They can't find anybody to farm them.
Farmers have died, the kids have gone to Osaka.
There's nobody to farm that land.
If you want to be a former, go to Japan.
You can get a lot of land cheap.
That's true.
Australia, Canada, all of these countries have very, very aged old farmers, men and
women.
It's millions of Indian farmers have committed suicide, as I'm sure you know.
No, no, agriculture is a disaster.
The Chinese have a word, you know the Chinese word weiji?
It means disaster and opportunity are the same and they are.
If you can survive the disaster, you're going to make a lot of money with the opportunity.

Agriculture Will Be A Good Place To Invest
Agriculture has been a disaster. In the past 30 odd years Agriculture has been a nightmare.
The average age of farmers in America is now 58. Nobody wants to be a farm. More people in America study public relations then study agriculture because it's been a horrendous place to be. The highest rate of suicide in the UK is in agriculture.
It's been a nightmare so it's going to change. We've had long periods in history when the agriculture, the producers of real Goods have been an on top followed by long periods when the financial types have been on top but it always changes and is changing again.

China Will Strike Back
You think the Chinese are just sitting around? China’s a huge buyer of American agriculture, so of course that’s the obvious place to hit back because that hurts Mr. Trump the worst. It’s not Americans, it’s Trump. Trump and his guys, those are the ones they have to hit.

Bullish on Agriculture
Jim Rogers has recently shared his thoughts on the agriculture sector and explain why he is so bullish on agricultural commodities:
"No one wants to be a farmer anymore, as compared to the past, when farmers were like masters of the universe for a long period of time."
"The agriculture sector has been a disaster for 35 years. Things are so bad. The average age of an American farmer is 58, the average age in Japan is 68. And do you know that the highest suicide rate in the UK is in the agricultural sector?"

Why India Has't Done So Well As Other Countries
India used to be one of the great
agricultural countries of the world. They have the weather, the soil the rain, the
labor and everything else but the
government in India
protected the farmers. A farmer cannot own more than 12 acres, that's for
their own good, that's to protect them
from the evil foreigners etc etc.
How can
somebody with 12 acres compete with an Australian farmer that has 120,000
acres or a million acres? whatever They cannot compete with 12 acres but
the Indian government is protecting all of
those poor farmers like they protect
many, many parts of Indian economy and
that's one of the reasons why India has not
done as well as China or other places.

Investing: Agriculture Will Do Well In The Next Bear Market
I'm very optimistic about
Agriculture's been a disaster for 35
years and it's changing in my view. It's
changing so if you're worried about the
world and that we are going to have a serious
bear market you should think about
agriculture because agriculture will
probably do well, that is a place that will probably decouple
in the next bear market.
Commodities: Coal, Steel and Agriculture
I'm a director of a coal company so we
obviously should worry about Chinese
coal. I do own commodities yes, but Steel is
not high on my list because it's there's
no real active futures market but some
commodities I'm very optimistic about. Agriculture's been a disaster for 35
years it's changing in my view.

Investing: Some Sectors With A Magnificent Future
Some things that I see in the future that are great?
- I am bullish on Agriculture.
- China is a very polluted nation. Anybody that can clean up China is going to make a fortune.
- Asian Tourism has a huge future because there are so many Asians now that are able to travel.
Those are some of the industries of the world that have a magnificent future.

Agriculture Is In The Process Of Turning
Agriculture, when it turns and it is in the process of turning it is going to go up for a long time. Agriculture prices are down a lot in the past 15 or 20 years. It is one of the few in the world that has gone down in price. Sugar is down 75 or 80 percent from its all time high. That is astonishing if you start looking at the world. So, this is going to go on for a long time when agriculture turns.

Agriculture: I Am Very Optimistic For The Next Decade
Agriculture has been a horrible business for over 30 years. The average age of farmers in Amrica is 58 years old, in Japan its 66. I could go on and on with horrible statistics about people dying, getting out of the business, committing suicide.
More people in America study Public Relations than study Agriculture. So, we are going to have a crisis in Agriculture soon unless something happens. If the prices of food do not go up we are not going to have any food at any price. I am very optimistic about agriculture in the next decade or two.
Related ETFs: PowerShares DB Agriculture Fund (DBA), iPath Bloomberg Cotton Subindex Total Return SM Index ETN (BAL)

Where To Invest When There Is Turmoil
One should diversify and real assets usually in times like we are discussing, if you own a farm you are probably going to be better off than most people but be sure your farm is far away from the masses that will come in and steal everything you have. So having some real assets especially agriculture, you may not do well, but you will do better than everybody else in times like that.
