Markets: I Own Russian Shares, Bonds
“China’s down 60 percent from its all-time high. Japan’s down 50 percent... Russia is hated – I own Russian shares; I own Russian bonds; I own the currency.” - Jim Rogers, in Money Week

Russian Stock Market
I would suspect in a
few years we'll look back and say "Oh, remember when the russian stock market was so cheap, why
didn't we buy it?"

I am still buying shares in
China, Russia, Japan and some parts of
the world if I find something good. The US stock market is at an all-time high and I don't
particularly like buying things at
all-time highs.

Agriculture In Russia Is Booming
Agriculture in Russia right now is
booming because of sanctions. It has
helped Russian agriculture.

Sanctions Against Russia Are Absurd
I know that Europeans wanted sanctions against Russia to be dropped, many people in the world think the sanctions are absurd, including me. I hope they're dropped, I don't think it will happen anytime soon, though. (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX))

Investing: Russia, China
I’d rather invest in Russia (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX)) than in Germany (DAX Index). I’d rather invest in Japan (Nikkei 225 Index) or China (Shanghai Composite Index) than in America (SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY)). America is at an all-time high, and no other nation in the history of the world has ever been this in debt.

The Reason Why I'm Investing in Russia
In my experience I have learned
that if you find something that's hated, that has a lot of value and things are
getting better you probably will do fine
and that's why I'm investing in Russia. (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index ETF (EEM))

I'm Very Bullish On Russia
I first went to Russia in 1966 as a student and I came away saying this will never work and came away bearish for the next 48 years. But now I'm very, very bullish on Russia.
Russia is certainly a hated market there's no question and whenever you find a hated and something there is changing for the better and I find changes have taken place and are taking place in Russia then I would suggest you to put some Russian Rubles in your pocket
or you might try the Russian ETF that might be even better than the Russian Rubles but I own both. (iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index ETF (EEM), Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX))

Investing: Gold, Sugar and Russia
I'm not buying gold (SPDR Gold Trust ETF (GLD)) Sugar would be a better buy here then gold (SPDR Gold Trust ETF (GLD),), agriculture would be a better buy and Russia (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX)) would be a better buy.

Investing In Russia
Jim Rogers noted recently that investors are starting to invest in Russia again (the Russian stock ETF (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX)) is the worst performing country ETF in 2017):
“We have seen some people starting to invest in Russia again. This is just the continuation of the same process. It is happening, more will happen, but it will not be so fast."
Jim Rogers also does not expect the rating agencies (S&P and Moody’s) to raise Russia’s ratings due to political pressures:
“I wouldn’t think it could be soon. They have a lot of geopolitical pressure than they admit and most people realize.”

Q: Would You Invest Right Now In Europe Or In The US?
I would rather invest in Russia if you consider that Europe, it is an European country. Russia is probably one the better places to invest now. (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index ETF (EEM))

The Sanctions Against Russia Have Helped Russia
In many ways the sanctions against Russia have helped Russia. It has created an agricultural boom, as agriculture is a very strong growth industry right now. It also pushed the Russians together with the Asians and when you go through Moscow or St. Petersburg airport now the Asians are everywhere, (iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index ETF (EEM), Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX))
Russia: A Hated Market
Russia was hated 3 years ago. Nobody was putting any money there. Well, I was, but most investors weren’t. It’s got to get better and it is getting better, because Russia is getting better. (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX))

Russian Agriculture Is Very Prosperous
Russian agriculture is prosperous because nobody can sell to them (due to the sanctions) and they can’t buy any agriculture products from us, so their agriculture is booming. (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX))

I Bought Russian Stocks Last Week
I bought some Russian stocks last week and Russian bonds a week before. Agriculture is extremely depressed...these are places that I'm looking at. (PowerShares DB Agriculture Fund (DBA), Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX))
Investing In Russia, China and Japan
I'm investing in Russia and China and Japan. These are markets that are down 50 percent from their all-time highs, while the US markets are trading at all-time highs right now. Markets: Buying Japanese Stocks
I'm looking at markets in Japan, Russia and China. These markets are all depressed compared to history. I have been buying Japan for a while. (Nikkei 225 Index, Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index ETF (EEM), iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index ETF (FXI))
How I Am Invested In Russia
I have individual shares I have Russian government bonds have yields very, very high you can get 10 percent in rubles and I in my view the ruble has stabilized so it's a lot better than 2 percent in America. (Market Vector Russia ETF Trust (RSX), iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index ETF (EEM))
